Class Policies

Classes, generally ranges from 45 minutes to 1 hour, as needed. You are encouraged to stay after your session and listen to senior students (if there are any) as this will help you deepen your understanding of music. Your allotted class time includes not only your personal learning activities but also the opportunity to grow by observing and listening to others. Kindly try to be on time when class starts.

We strictly ask you that you refrain from recording any songs or ragas taught to others. Please focus on your own assigned tasks for the week and only record your personal practice. Do not record others' lessons or practice sessions or task. Engaging in unethical practices, such as secretly leaving a recording device running in your bag, is strictly prohibited and may result in discontinuation of your class with us, if found. 

Classes are held once per week, totaling four sessions per month. One online makeup class is permitted each month. If a month has five weeks, the fifth week will be added to the class schedule for that period. For example, if you are enrolled in a 3-month course and a month includes five weekends, you will be charged for the additional class. 

The fees (for a month that has 5 weekends) are as follows:

• For a 1-month package: $150 + $37.50 + the cost of the book ($85) = $272.50

• For a 3-month package: $428 + $36 + the cost of the book ($85) = $549

• For a 4-month package: $833 + $35 + the cost of the book ($85) = $953

The fee for the extra class must be paid separately via Zelle or Venmo.

Online make up classes will be provided for these missed classes due to holidays (private classes cannot be provided)

Full payment of the class plus the charge of the course material is due at the time of enrollment. For continuous classes, the fees are due by 5th of each month. After 5th, a flat $20 will be charged as late fees. If the fee is due after 20th of the month, a flat $30 late fee will be charged. If the fee is defaulted for a month, the class can be discontinued by the discretion of the management.

Only one make-up class is allowed per month due to the regular class schedule. We cannot guarantee that make-up classes will be held at the same time as the original session. Typically, students will be grouped with others or scheduled based on availability after coordinating with you. If the scheduled make-up class is missed, no additional make-up sessions will be offered.

In the event of illness, a maximum of two weeks of missed classes will be adjusted by adding extra time to future sessions. No refunds will be provided. If a student is sick for more than a month, the fee for the following month will be refunded.

In case of emergencies, or in any case of unforeseen events if you are not able to continue with us, fees of the unattended classes will be refunded to you. 

Students agree not to make any negative, derogatory, or harmful statements, whether verbally or in writing, about the school, its instructors, staff, or any other associated individuals. Any form of public criticism, including on social media, that damages the reputation of the school will not be tolerated. Breach of this clause may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of enrollment. Excellence Academy of Indian Music reserves the right to discontinue services in the event of any misconduct.

A minimum of two weeks' notice is required before withdrawing from the institution.
