What is Yoga? When we say yoga, for many it probably means some impossible physical postures. That is not what I am referring to here. Yoga simply means to be in perfect tune. When you are in yoga, your body, mind and breath are in absolute harmony. The word yoga means union. When you experience everything as one in your consciousness, then you are in yoga. To reach that unity within you, there are many ways. Hatha yoga is one of them. Hatha yoga means you start with the body. Hatha yoga is a way of working with the body, disciplining the body, purifying and preparing the body for higher levels of energy. Hatha practices are designed to align and calm your body, mind, and breath in preparation for meditation. In this course, you will start learning the basics of hatha yoga, asanas, pranayama (breathing exercises), and meditation in a balanced flow. You will also learn the modifications and contraindications of the practice to suit individual needs and realize the utmost value. The beauty of yoga is manifold, be it flexibility, higher energy, strength, stamina, balance, mindfulness, awareness, etc. it has answers for all the modern day ailments. When your body and mind are in a relaxed state and at a certain level of blissfulness, you can be free of so many nagging ailments, and unleash your full potential.
